The Shakespeare Institute Review was founded to provide a platform for postgraduate students and early career researchers to share their research in Shakespeare and Early Modern Studies. The journal is run by postgraduate students at the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon, but welcomes submissions from students and ECRs around the world.

Ella Hawkins is a PhD student at the Shakespeare Institute. Her research explores the significance of Jacobethanism (Elizabethan/Jacobean aesthetics) in 21st-century costume design for Shakespeare, and is funded by the Midlands4Cities AHRC DTP.
